Eagle Rock WERKSHOP® is looking for help @ our design/sublimation studio in Monrovia, CA! We are looking for people with potential for longevity who also embody the WERKSHOP spirit. If you live an active lifestyle (yoga, spinning, hiking, surfing, dancing ... please let us know in your cover letter). We are currently looking to fill the following positions: 

 

 

OPERATIONS / PRODUCTION MANAGER.   *updated 25 MAY 2017*

Position is basically to be right-hand to owner and help "keep the ship afloat" at times when I am not able to be in the office, etc.

  • MUST have strong managerial skills (will be required to help followup and monitor work progress for the entire staff of 4 employees including: social media associate, graphic designer, customer service guru and sewing/production manager)
  • MUST manage print queue for our Sublimation Printers and perform daily maintenance/trouble-shooting. No previous experience with dye-sub is required, but you MUST possess strong computer and quick problem-solving skills.
  • MUST review webshop inventory regularly and add items to our print queue as necessary.
  • MUST assist in organizing and managing our soon-to-be-released wholesale program.
  • MUST help manage our Production Calendar (Ordering supplies, Arranging Cutting Tickets and Preparing Sewing PO's as required)
  • Will be required to train and have hands-on knowledge of all business operations including the operation of our heat press.

This position is FULL TIME. Pay is Salary and negotiable/DOE.

FREELANCE GRAPHIC DESIGNER.   *updated 25 MAY 2017*

  • MUST have strong Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator Skills.
  • MUST create work that is 100% copyright free and OK to use for apparel (cannot pull from or incorporate works from open sources such as google images and/or pinterest. All artwork and photography has to be original and/or edits from licensable stock photography) 

I am interested in working with both featured artists (where the artist is interviewed on the site and creates a collection of their own inspiration) as well as commissioned artists who work within my design-guidelines.

FREELANCE TECHNICAL DESIGNER.   *updated 25 MAY 2017*

  • MUST have strong Adobe Illustrator Skills (all Flats/CADs must be created and edited in Illustrator)
  • MUST have experience doing simplified/domestic tech packs that include: BOM, Construction Call-Outs, Pattern Cards, etc.
  • SPEC Writing and knowledge of general grade rules.

    Tech Designer // On-Site ONLY. Position/Schedule is completely flexible. May lead to creative design work if interested and qualified! 

    Hourly pay, negotiable and DOE. Experience with performance apparel (or) knitwear is preferred. Must be English-Speaking.

    • MUST have knowledge of the following sewing machines:
      • FLATLOCK
      • COVER-STITCH
      • OVERLOCK
      • BARTACK
      • SINGLE NEEDLE

    SAMPLE SEWER // On-Site ONLY. Position is flexible (Part Time and Full Time applicants OK). Will require duplicates and small-run production sewing.

    Hourly pay, negotiable and DOE. Experience with performance apparel preferred. Must be English and/or Spanish Speaking (Conversational English Required). Full Time employees eligible for Health/Dental insurance after waiting period.

    • MUST have solid pattern drafting experience with knits and/or activewear
    • MUST prepare first patterns from sketch and/or blocks
    • MUST develop first patterns by hand
    • MUST make patterns production-ready (digitizing/grading are a bonus, but not required, as we do not have gerber, etc, on site)

      PATTERN DRAFTER // On-Site ONLY. Position is flexible (Part Time preferred, may lead to Full Time in the future)

      Hourly pay, negotiable and DOE. Experience with performance apparel preferred. Must be English-Speaking (conversational OK).
